For the past five months, our dear friend Keith has been battling a serious and mysterious illness that has turned his life upside down. What began as a simple cold/flu has now led to countless doctor visits, tests, treatments, and more questions than answers. Keith was hospitalized for over five weeks back in March, enduring an exhausting journey while doctors work tirelessly to determine exactly what is happening to his body.

At this time, physicians are treating Keith for vasculitis, a condition that causes inflammation of the blood vessels. However, despite extensive testing, doctors are still not certain that vasculitis is the true cause of his illness. What they do know is that Keith's immune system appears to be attacking his own body, causing significant health complications and leaving his medical team searching for answers. Adding to the challenges, Keith has recently developed diabetes, which doctors believe may be a side effect of the powerful medications being used to treat his condition. While doctors continue searching for answers, Keith faces new health challenges every day.

When Keith was released from the hospital his employment was immediately terminated (despite the fact that he kept in touch with the Harley Davidson dealership he worked for) and now he has been unable to work for months. Because he is medically unable to work, he does not qualify for unemployment benefits, leaving him with no income while his bills continue to accumulate. The loss of income, combined with mounting medical expenses, medications, and everyday living costs, has created an overwhelming financial burden

But Keith is so much more than the illness he is fighting. Keith is a devoted father, grandfather, brother and son, and a loyal friend to so many people. Anyone who knows him knows his outgoing personality, caring heart, and wonderful sense of humor.
