A little before dawn, a desperate cry for help shattered the early morning quiet. What I initially mistook for a distant cat’s cry was suddenly unmistakable:

As a formally educated and trained full-time Engineer/Firefighter/EMT from the Chicagoland area years back, I Instantly was moving on Pure Instinct at the Cry for Help in the Night.
*Snap!*
I was up-n-out my front door of Unit 103 before I was awake.

*Thick Smoke having a Bitter chemical taste to it, pushing out from the eaves, from around the windows, and from under the front door of Unit 101.*

At that point I'm operating purely on adrenaline, at the very tip of a wing on a prayer, as I blindly execute an interior rescue, into an unknown structure, with unknown source, location, or duration of active fire that's completely charged the structure to the floor with Blinding, Choking, Toxic Thick Smoke having a Bitter Chemical taste to it. No SCBA (breathing apparatus), No Turnout Bunker Gear (fire suit) and No idea the location of 'Mom', nor Who "Mom” even is, though only two doors away, we having not met yet.
None of that mattering in the moment.
My sole focus was clear:

We got Lucky. We got Very-Lucky(!).
I located Danalynne “Dannie” Miller in the Toxic Smoke-Filled Darkness, Alive(!). Successfully extracted her to Safety, and before a second thought, tending to be Reason, I immediately executed a 'Second' Blind interior rescue, going back in for the dogs.

Grudgingly, I had to turn back in the hallway as stars exploded across my rapidly closing tunnel vision. I hands-n-knees-low on the floor, shoving my nose against the baseboard, and crawling desperately in search of any breathable air while pushing back through the thick, toxic smoke produced by burning lithium-ion electric bicycle batteries — something I would only learn later.
As in that particular moment I was simply struggling to survive, this 'After' I finally pushed through the darkness which was literally only the shallowest of another toxic breath or two away from I succumbing to and being consumed by the Darkness.
I was Out(!), looking up towards the heavens, tears flowing Freely, and uncontrollably, from my bloodshot red eyes burning like HELL(!),
Chest Heaving, trying desperately to throw my lungs up that were on Fire, my nose draining profusely like a faucet, a thick slimy slug reaching from my brain, out my nose, three feet to the ground, before snapping off, triggering another round of vicious coughing and violent projectile vomiting so bad I thought I was going to turn inside out.

Phoenix Finest arrived, duly did the job with Excellence as they do. Yet Sadly soon revealed, tragically the dogs did not survive.

The consequences of that rescue were immediate and severe. I had inhaled a substantial amount of toxic smoke and lithium battery fumes. In the days that followed, my lungs felt as though they were on fire, like I smoking a whole carton of Lithium cigarettes in one shot.

No. No I didn't go to the hospital that morning of the fire to be treated for smoke inhalation.
I later being informed that they put Dannie in a medically induced coma to treat her smoke inhalation for, 'Three-Weeks(!?).'

My breathing continued to deteriorate, leading to missed work, significant income loss, and mounting financial hardship.

I was recently hospitalized at St. Joseph’s for worsening respiratory symptoms, which caused a secondary injury to my left lower leg. I also experiencing loss of consciousness with accompanying seizure activity at times.

Eviction proceedings were initially filed by Volte Property Owners without Full knowledge, awareness, and understanding of the extenuating facts and circumstances of the Jan. 7th fire, rescue #101, and subsequent medical and financial hardship incurred thereof at 2333 W. Glenrosa Ave. #103 While that initial filing might have been understandable, and excuded. The continued pursuit and actual execution of eviction—despite full knowledge and awareness of the extraordinary mitigating facts and circumstances by then—is both egregious and unconscionable.
This action has forced me to disclose sensitive personal details concerning my involvement in Dannie’s rescue, thereby compromising her privacy and peace. It has also compelled me to reach out awkwardly to others, in support of, seeking support, accountability, and justice as I work to recover my health, reclaim my property, and secure stable housing.
I would far rather endure significant personal hardship than burden others with an issue that should never have been made public in the first place. In pursuing this eviction, Volte is disregarding my well-being and, more importantly, disrespecting Dannie by dishonoring the privacy and dignity of her rescue.

This letter was provided to AZ Family shortly after the incident. Whereby Kim Meader-AZ Family News Desk stated intent of airing a follow-up story correcting a false narrative AZ Family aired Jan. 7th of the fire.
AZ Family has since Ghosted me, blatantly refusing to acknowledge, much less aire or print the correction, thereby inflicting real significant injury severely limiting the ability to effectively raise funds as would've been had AZ Family aired or printed correction as per their common practice and Kim Meader voiced promise.
AZ Family refusal to run correction also inflicting substantial loss inthat their refusal significantly hinders any hope of raising any funds remotely near amount
of funds that would have been raised had AZ Family ran correction as Kim Meader stated/promised.

Prior to access, as discussed and posted, there is a storage charge of $50/day that will be assessed. That means that prior to accessing your unit, you will need to pay $250 in either cash or money order. If the fee is not paid, you will not have access to the unit.

But no worries, as I reply to you I'm in communication with Bishop John P. Dolan, the current Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix (which includes Scottsdale, AZ).
I was told they may be able to provide the funds needed.

I simply went back to #105. Was physically sick due to my lung injury not being able to breathe from the fire rescue and fell out in the bathroom (which my friends and neighbors witnessed me falling out on a few occasions). When later I was told that police may have knocked on the door. However, Noone bothered looking out the window or answering the door.

Because I have always had Respect for you. That's one of the things that weigh so heavy on my heart.

It's almost like I want to say "sorry" for saving 'Dannie'. Like I almost wish I hadn't bothered to save her. Because of all that I have lost, in turn what you have lost, in rent money, etc
Isn't that Crazy?
Well, things may have gone to hell for me, but Dannie's alive, that's what matters.
I may have let you down by not covering the rent yet, but I refuse to Fail you, by just walking away without paying you the outstanding balance. I'm getting you that rent.

OMAR VARGAS of Volte Property Solutions FRAUDULENTLY issued an official Arizona Association of REALTORS® “NOTICE OF 2 DAY ACCESS” form to my neighbor and fellow tenant, MIKE WILLIAMS (**** W Glenrosa Ave #105, Phoenix, AZ 85015). The notice FRAUDULENTLY CLAIMING a “PROPERTY INSPECTION ” (Section 7) for May 17, 2026.

According to Mr. Williams, OMAR used the FRAUDULENT notice to MANIPULATE AND TRICK Mike, in Omar GAINING ACCESS into Mike's home under FALSE PRETENSES at which point Omar began THREATENING AND INTIMIDATING Mike telling him not to have any contact with me, 'or else', their LEASE AGREEMENTS will be TERMINATED. This is part of an ongoing pattern of ESCALATION by Volte Property Solutions, now including THREATS AND INTIMIDATION directed at my Good neighbors. All of whom are Firsthand Eyewitnesses to my Fire Rescue of Dannie unit#101, the medical and financial hardship incurred thereof. I emailed two independent Investigative Journalists at “Arizona Center for Investigative Reporting” and “Arizona Republic / azcentral.com Investigations Team”...requesting their assistance in addressing my eviction, Volte unlawfully withholding my property, and Omar Vargas Fraudulently using “Property Inspection” claim to gain access into my neighbor's house where he thereby threatened and intimidated my neighbors telling them if they had any contact with me, their lease agreements would be terminated.
