Help Keith and Sylvia Fight Cancer and Critical Illness
I am writing this on behalf of two people I’ve loved my entire life. They are the kind of people who worked hard their entire lives and never asked for a hand-out, but right now, they are facing an impossible storm.
Two years ago, my father was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. After a lifetime of taxing manual labor, he was forced into retirement with no safety net.
Just as they were trying to stay afloat on Social Security, my mother—the rock of the family—fell dangerously ill. She was battling a massive kidney stone that had overtaken her entire left kidney. After a failed surgery on January 19th, she faced another invasive, high-risk procedure to chip away at the stone. The stone was removed but Sylvia had complications. While in the hospital her heart was have Arrhythmias and her O2 was dangerously low. She ended up coming home with Oxygen and 13 prescriptions.
Between mounting medical bills, expensive prescriptions, and the loss of her income, the financial weight has become unbearable.
They would never ask for help themselves, so I am asking for them. Please donate if you can to give them a moment of peace, or simply share this post to help us reach others. Every bit of support helps them focus on healing instead of debt.
Update April 3rd:
Sylvia got her stents and the tube removed. The next appointments will be with her primary care and her pulmonary specialist. She is still in some discomfort and rocking her oxygen.
Keith is doing well. He was having issues with his air intake, but thanks to his Dr prescribing an inhaler he is breathing much better.
We just want to say thank you to everyone that has shared or donated. We know how tuff times are for so many and your Kindness and generosity has touched our hearts. Sylvia and Keith will have many more appointments and we will keep everyone updated.
