My name is Eric Surprenant and I'm trying to raise funds for Keith Simpanen and his family. I worked with Keith for 20 years in Rhode Island and not only was he an amazing co-worker but he has been an even better friend. We've literally been there for each other for the births of our children and the loss of our parents and through the many ups and downs of work.

In 2017 Keith's world came to a halt when he found out he had Prostate cancer, later that year he would have surgery to remove his prostate and live on medications to ensure the cancer would not return. Then in 2023 he found out the cancer had returned to his lungs. He had lung surgery in January of 2024 and has been on over 15 medications daily since. To date, he has undergone 8 surgeries in all since his initial diagnosis.

During this time, he's been living on disability which is less than half of his income and his bills and debts are mounting. If ever there is a time to reach out to the public, now is that time. I don’t ask this lightly, but I’m asking you to give what you can to the Simpanens to help them mitigate their bills and cost of living. Literally any donation amount is appreciated!
