Hi, my name is Keisha. I hate to do this but I feel like I’m left with no choice.

My apartment complex has been very negligent for months. My tub has been cracking and the paint chipping so badly, that the paint is going down the drain and causing repeated clogging. The barrier between the floor and the tub also came off, so we deal with bugs coming through that crack often.

We have an exposed wire in a kitchen that sparks very often and is VERY dangerous, as it could cause a fire if there’s a gas leak.

We’ve requested pest control several times over the last couple months, with us being repeatedly told they would come. We were having massive roach infestations due to the fact that the apartment directly next to us has been vacated for months. We informed the office multiple times, and the most they did was remove the refrigerator because it was covered in maggots and gnats. They did not clean the apartment, and all the roaches came to us.

We’ve spent money out of our own pocket to try to handle the infestation but no matter what we tried nothing works. Due to the lack of pest control and monitoring, we are now dealing with a bed bug issue that could’ve been mitigated if we received the proper preventative care. We’ve had to throw out our box spring, our dresser and some clothes, and are hoping that we don’t have to throw out our desks. We are currently sleeping on our mattress on the living room floor as we cannot go into our room. I cannot even sit at my desk without getting bit.

In addition to these issues, I currently have a radiator leak in my car. We are repeatedly having to fill it with coolant, but unfortunately this is an expensive temporary fix.

Lastly, there has been shootings outside our apartment regularly. It has gotten to the point where we rarely feel safe walking our emotional

support animal.

We’re asking for enough to be able to move comfortably (as most places around here ask for first month, last months and a security deposit), replace the items that we lost during this process and to fix our radiator. We appreciate anyone that likes, shares and donates.
