Our family is reaching out for help to keep our son, Zachary, safe.

Zachary is a beautiful 5-year-old boy diagnosed with Level 3 Autism Spectrum Disorder. He is non-verbal and has a condition called elopement, which means he will suddenly run or wander away without understanding danger or safety. Recently, Zachary left our yard and made it across a busy four-way intersection before being found safely. It was one of the most terrifying moments our family has ever experienced.

We have tried door alarms, baby gates, and every safety measure we can afford, but nothing has been enough to fully protect him. Due to housing restrictions and fire safety regulations, we have not been allowed to install higher locks on our doors. A secure fence around our yard would give Zachary a safe place to play, explore, and enjoy being outside without the constant fear that he may run into traffic or disappear.

As parents, our biggest goal is simply to keep our child safe.

We are fundraising to help cover the cost of installing a secure fence around our home. Any donation, share, or kind word means more to our family than we can express. Even if you cannot donate, sharing our story could help us reach someone who can.
