We recently received heartbreaking news. Mama was diagnosed with inoperable Stage 4 lung cancer that has metastasized to several bones. She is receiving radiation now and will receive immunotherapy very soon, but the prognosis is not good. Her health has been declining for months, and it is no longer safe for her to live on her own. Ashley has been staying with Mama 24/7 since the diagnosis, and I relieve her when I can. Mama’s condition is not improving, and it is becoming more difficult for us to care for her without additional support. Mama’s one request is to stay in her home as long as possible, and we want to make that happen for her. In order to do that, we need to be able to hire caregivers, purchase medical equipment not covered by insurance, and provide other items or services needed to make Mama as comfortable and safe as possible in her home. Ashley and I are going through a lot, and we are not equipped to handle what’s ahead without assistance. We would be very grateful for any support you can give. We would also appreciate your prayers.
