Just two months after opening Veggie In, life brought some unexpected challenges. A loved one was diagnosed with a serious illness, and I’ve been doing my best to manage everything while staying committed to the bistro. At the same time, like many new small businesses, we’ve had our ups and downs.

I purchased my building through owner financing. After the original owner sold the mortgage to a company, I unfortunately fell behind—but I remained in communication and continued making payments. Recently, she re-purchased the mortgage from that lender, and now she’s giving me just 15 days to pay in full.

She’s been in and out of the bistro and has seen the complete transformation—new wiring, fresh paint, and a full 360° makeover. She knows the energy, heart, and resources that have gone into this place. But now, she’s threatening to take it back.
