If you’re new to us, we are MEOW Cat Café, an adoption café based in Colchester, Essex (UK).

We work closely with rescuers in the UAE and Greece, giving rescued cats a safe space while using our social media platforms to raise awareness, advocate for animal welfare, and support the people rescuing cats in some of the toughest situations.

Our mission has always been simple and unwavering: to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats. Since opening in March 2023, we have rehomed 465 cats as of January 2026, a number we’re incredibly proud of.

This GoFundMe has been set up as a permanent place for donations, whether large or small, and no matter where in the world you’re supporting us from.

This isn’t a sob story, but the reality is that continuing to prioritise rehoming over keeping resident cats comes at a significant cost. Our running expenses are high, and right now, we are struggling.

Our costs include veterinary bills, rent, business rates, utilities, food, medication, litter, enrichment, staff wages, and countless other essentials, and like everything else, these costs are only rising.

We also face challenges with bookings. We intentionally keep our prices accessible at £7.50 for adults and £4 for children, which is a fraction of what similar cafés charge, especially compared to London.

Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a genuine difference. Your support helps keep our doors open and allows us to continue giving cats the chance to move on to loving forever homes.
