Hey everyone,
I never thought I’d be writing something like this, but life has gotten a little heavier lately, and I’m trying to hold it all together the best I can. Most of you know my 8-year-old has been dealing with a lot — neurogenic bladder, neurogenic bowel, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease — and that we’ve been making regular trips down to Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis.
Those trips are so important for their care, but between the gas, food, parking, and the time I have to take off work, it’s getting harder to keep up. I’m doing everything I can to stay caught up on rent and bills, but with how often we have to be at Riley’s, the missed work really adds up.
As a single mom, I try so hard to carry it all quietly and make sure my kiddo never feels the weight of it — but the truth is, we could really use some help right now. I’m not asking for much, just a little help to get through this stretch so we can keep focusing on what really matters: their health and making sure they keep smiling through all of it.
If you’re able to help, whether it’s a few dollars toward gas for the next trip, sharing this with others, or just sending love our way, it truly means more than I can say. Every bit of support makes such a difference.
Thank you for being in our corner — for the prayers, the check-ins, the love, and just for caring about us. It really does keep me going on the days that feel impossible.
With love,
Megan
