Three Lakes Golf Club needs community support

Over the past month, Three Lakes Golf Club, a local not-for-profit community golf course, has been facing an unexpected challenge. Smoke from nearby wildfires has dramatically reduced the number of golfers able and willing to come out and play, leading to about $35,000 in lost revenue. Even with fewer visitors, the day-to-day costs of running the course have not stopped. Three Lakes Golf Club has continued maintaining the grounds, keeping staff employed, caring for the property, and making necessary payments on equipment and other operating expenses so the course will be ready to welcome the community back when conditions improve.
