Help Keep the West Highland Way Spectacular

Donation protected
Hi, a couple of years ago I was watching Outlander and I ended up Googling "where in North Carolina did they film Outlander," and it turns out that they filmed the NC parts in Scotland because the Highlands look a lot like North Carolina. Why? Because before the continents split (Pangea days), the Appalachian Mountains and the Scottish Highlands were all one mountain range! Around the same time, I was reading Sam Heughan's book, Waypoints. That's when I decided that I was going to hike the West Highland Way, a 96-mile stretch of the most beautiful wilderness you've ever seen. I spent some time in Scotland last summer and I know it sounds dramatic, but I left a piece of my heart in the Highlands. It was absolutely STUNNING and I've been counting down the days until I can go back.

Luckily, one of my good friends wants to tag along, so Daphne and I will take this epic adventure in early May. It might seem weird for an American to be raising money to maintain a hiking trail in Scotland, but Daphne and I both have Scottish heritage, and as a public health professional, I know how important it is to maintain safe spaces for people to nourish their physical and mental health.

If you are so inclined, please donate to help keep this amazing trek in tip top shape. All funds raised will go directly to the hard working folks at the West Highland Way.
