Save the Setup Comedy Club and Beer Basement

Because of the lockdown mandate we have been forced to shut our bar and comedy shows down. We are still paying rent on the space but we are not bringing in any money. If we aren't able to come up with money for rent soon we will be forced to give up our lease and this cornerstone of San Francisco culture will be lost forever.

If you support us with a donation you will be benefitting the stand up comedians who love and cherish this venue. You will be supporting the artist scene that makes San Francisco so special. And you will of course help continue the spread of laughter which is so needed during this period of history.

All the money we fundraise will go towards keeping the doors open for The Beer Basement and The Setup. We need the funds within a month or two, otherwise our situation will become very pressing.

This support would mean more than just financial assistance. It would show us that people still care about art and laughter. In our capitalistic society, people who support a tiny comedy club give us hope that people still care about community.
