Help keep the Orphanage alive for Tom.

On February 20th, Thomas Rohde passed away from stroke complications. This man was the most fun-loving, giving soul anyone could meet. For over 10 years he has been supporting a beautiful Orphanage in Guadalupe Valley, Mexico. This orphanage specializes in the rehabilitation and care of young boys written off by society. They have sent countless young men into the world with skills that have helped them work and make a life for themselves outside of the orphanage. Their secret? Offering a safe, loving place where they can grow while learning rules, boundaries, and responsibility.
Tom would visit the orphanage every month bringing down hundreds of pounds of meat, rice, beans, and other essentials to fill their freezers and pantry. He would then take Lupe, the orphanage director, to the local stores and purchase any additional essentials the orphanage needed.  This helped not only the orphanage but the surrounding village feed themselves. Sometimes these things were donated by the Welcome Home Ministry of which he worked alongside regularly, but most of it was donated by him personally. Half of his heart will always be at that orphanage and we would hate to see them struggle after his passing.

The $12,000 will cover about 1 year of basic expenses for them. This money will also help stimulate the surrounding community that is also living in poverty. Please honor Tom by joining us in keeping this beautiful place alive and operational.
