Rebuild, Rebrand & Renew White Seal Dry Cleaners

Eliot McCallum is a 3rd generation dry cleaning and laundromat service provider. He is the son of Charles H. McCallum, the founder of White Seal Cleaners, one of the oldest dry cleaning plants in West Philadelphia. Both men have poured their heart and soul into giving back to this community by serving with their now 62-year-old business that Eliot runs. White Seal Laundromat and Dry Cleaner is a black-owned business that is looking for the last leg of financing as COVID, logistics costs, and the architectural structure not being up to the Philadelphia code have interfered with the cost to continue the business. It's important as White Seal is a staple in a community that is being gentrified and at risk that black businesses are being displaced.

 

McCallum has been able to retrieve a loan for $300,000 but needs just $100,000 more in order to complete his rebuilding of White Seal. With your help, this small business can live on and continue to serve the community with laundry services.

 

We will use the funds to fulfill the electrical and plumbing requirements, flooring/paint, and updating equipment to remain open for business. Please join the others who have donated and show Eliot McCallum's vision and believe in what he does and wants to do for his community!
