Unfortunately, Utopia Haus recently fell victim to fraudulent activity that has threatened the livelihood of their business.

In April, Utopia Haus was preparing for a grand event for a new client who introduced himself as a grieving father who had just lost his wife. Utopia Haus owner Ashley went above and beyond to service this kind client, even assisting with payment to the catering company that couldn't accept credit card payments at the time.

However, the day before the event, Ashley learned that her client was in fact not a grieving father, and had used Utopia Haus to run a small business focused payment scam. As a result, all transactions from the client were flagged as fraud, and Utopia Haus had been debited with $11k in chargebacks from their business account. Not only did Utopia Haus lose the time and money spent on the event, but they are now learning that they are being held responsible for paying back the credit card used to book the services.

Utopia Haus is a small business that has been hit hard by this fraudulent activity. As a family-owned business, they take pride in creating magical moments for families and friends to celebrate life's special moments. It's heartbreaking to see them struggle due to helping someone they thought really needed it most.
