Help Keep The Grooms Running

As some of you may know, The Runaway Grooms have been working incesentaly to advance not only our music but our precense as nationally touring artists. Unfortunately The Runaway Grooms recently ran into a devistating obstacle that has left us reeling for solutions: Our transmission failed us one Sunday afternoon somwehere on the Florida turnpike. We spent our hard earned cash to rebuild the transmission in Florida and made it another 2,000 miles only to lose it once again, immediately following the last show of our Spring 2022 tour.
After two months living on the road through the south, this was the last thing we ever wanted to deal with; having to strip down and leave our tour rig in the middle of the night at some random gas station in Alabama with the sinking feeling in our hearts that we may never see our van (Betty) again. Despite two transmission failures we found a way to make it to memphis from Florida to record 5 tracks for a new album, we found a way to travel 18 hours straight from Albama so that we could make it on time for the event we had committed to playing the next day in vail. We've found a way after 5 tours, nearly 30,000 miles, a new starter, a new alternator, 4 new tires, and one transmission rebuild, and way too many cold cans of soup and PB&J sandwiches to keep the fire in our hearts from burning out. But we have come to a bit of a standstill and we need your help.
With vehicle prices the way they are, Betty is our only option right now, she's the only rig we can afford to keep us running, but we can barely afford even that. We are hard pressed to ask our community for anything other than their open hearts and ears, but we've reached a debilitation speedbump on our jouney. With this goal met we can pay the cost for Ford to completley replace the transmission, we can pay back all the traveling costs that have gone into getting Betty out of Alabma and back on the road, we can repay the income that individual band members have forgone in order to just keep this show on the road.
The support and encouragement from our Colorado communities and Grooms fam across the nation has been a fundamental inspiration in our willingness to pursue this wild dream. With your support you will help keep this train rolling, help keep our dream alive, and ultimately keep The Grooms running. We are so grateful for you all and dedicate our continued efforts to keeping this community strong and keeping good music alive. Thank you, and let the good times roll.
