Help Keep the Columbia County Bread & Granola Vision Alive

Hi, my name is Sue and I'm fundraising for Columbia County Bread & Granola.
Columbia County Bread & Granola (CCB&G) was established in 2011 by my partner Douglas Michael, who recently died, suddenly and unexpectedly. CCB&G began in 2008 as a passion project from Doug’s kitchen, in part to combat his own health challenges, and from there expanded steadily for 15 years as he shared his vision with wit and perseverance. His “flourless” sprouted whole grain bread and cracker recipes found a unique niche in the sprouted grain industry. His flaxseed-based granola, made without oats, is CCB&G’s best-selling product line. The company is committed to exceptional quality and unmatched purity and Bake Magazine (Issue #7, 2014) confirmed that they represent “the epitome of a clean ingredient label.”
Doug was an entrepreneur and visionary who embraced the Food as Medicine movement. His business is a work in progress with a partially executed plan and outstanding debt. Watch this 8 minute video of Doug sharing his passion in his own words. CCB&G Video
Why We Need Your Help:
The team at CCB&G believe in Doug and his vision and want his legacy to continue. Following his sudden passing in 2023, we've been working to keep the company alive and to pursue his concept for wide distribution. However, standing in the way are two loans with accumulating interest that were used to expand the capacity for production and that are now inhibiting the business from progressing to the next stage. With that in mind, we are reaching out for your support and affirmation of Doug’s vision and goals, which seek to spread the benefits of sprouted whole grain widely for improved metabolic health and reduction of chronic disease.
Our Goal and Promise:
We’ve turned to GoFundMe with a goal of raising $80,000 to pay off the principal on the outstanding loans so the business can remain viable and productive and continue to realize the potential reach and benefits of the products. Your contribution would be warmly appreciated and will help CCB&G remain open and sustainable. In return for your generosity and support, we promise to keep you updated every step of the way. We will share our triumphs and challenges as we work toward keeping Doug’s vision alive. Columbia County Bread & Granola is more than a business, it’s a way of life. And as Doug’s spokesdog Jay would say, “We thank you for your support and trust in what we do. Woof.”
