Help keep Steven’s miracle alive

“Your husband Steven has a large brain tumor; we’ve caught it just in time. We need to operate ASAP”. Those were the words that shook me to my core when the Doctors gave me one of the most unexpected and terrifying news of my entire life.

No one could understand a thing. From a medical point of view, his tumor was so large that they expected him to show severe pain/symptoms. From my point of view, my husband was a healthy 35 year old man who ended up in the Hospital because he suddenly lost his balance climbing up the stairs.

Right before his surgery, I meet Steven’s neurosurgeon. I asked all the questions my mind could come up with, feeling like 18 seasons of Gray’s Anatomy could prepare me for this moment [I was wrong, nothing ever could]. The doctor said to us: “We found a multifocal tumor: it’s not just one, there are also other spots. They have spread already. I'm going to take out as much as I can, but I won’t be able to get all of it… We’ll just have to wait and see how everything goes…”

Holding my husband’s hand and kissing his forehead before entering to the OR, we prayed together. I ask the Lord for the impossible to happen [make him a medical miracle, please]. He said to me: “I love you, no matter what happens”.

It’s been over 10 days after his surgery, and I am so happy to announce our prayers were answered. Steven received the miracle of a second chance in life and is now recuperating from home. Although his recovery has been miraculously, he still has a long way to go.

According to the information provided by the oncologist:
- Steven has a type of cancer called “IDH-Mutated Grade 3 Astrocytoma”
- This type of cancer is treatable, but no curable
- The best treatment is radiation and chemotherapy
- He needs Speech and Physical Therapy Sessions to recover fully

In order to help him during his healing process in every way we can, we need your help.

Every prayer you make in Steven’s name, makes him stronger.
Every donation you give from the bottom of your heart, helps us to alleviate the financial burden of the various expenses we need to face (such as medical bills, medications, therapies, medical supplies, and more).
Every time you share this campaign with your family, friends and colleagues, more and more people can join this noble cause in the best way they can.

There is no such thing as a little help. Everything you do, counts.

Please help us keep Steven’s miracle alive. We thank you in advance for being part of this journey with us
