Help Keep Ray Gunn Truckin' Along

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Stephanie and I'm fundraising on behalf of my father Raymond Gunn.

Here is how I'd describe my dad. He is one of 9 kids and was raised on a firm foundation in a Christian home, surrounded my love, family, and I'm sure quite a bit of noise. My dad is one of the most hardworking people I know. He is a truck driver and has been for as long as I can remember. He's been working for the same place for the last 19 years and has kept seniority when the business was bought over multiple times. He is strong, healthy, and a joy to be around. My dad has always been one to sacrifice his time and energy in order to be able to provide for his family. He doesn't complain, he always has a smile on his face, and he is just a goofball that we all love dearly. My dad is a son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather.

Why I'm fundraising for my dad. In late August, my dad was feeling terribly sick. After 8 days of continuing to feel worse, his wife, Melissa, had to rush him to the Emergency Room because he was struggling to breathe. Ray tested positive for COVID and was immediately put in the critical care unit where he remained for 10 days. During his stay he was informed how COVID attacked major organs, his heart and kidney had been damaged. When he was finally released from the hospital he was sent home on oxygen in order for his heart to repair itself.

During this time, he had to use up all of his sick days and vacation pay. His doctors did not release him to go back to work so that he could have time to heal, rest, and his organs could repair themselves. My dad's wife, Melissa, had lost her job at this time as a school bus aid because my dad needed to be taken care of for the foreseeable future. So many people have lost their lives to COVID and our family feels so blessed to have seen Ray come out on the other side, slowly but surely.

All of this has left my dad and his wife in a difficult place financially. They have had a loss of income, an influx of medical bills, and have come to a point where they could use some help in paying off these debts that has accrued during these last few difficult months.

Thank you for your time, prayers, generosity, and donations.
God Bless.
