Help Keep Our Self-Directed Learning Center Open!

Natural Creativity is special. It’s a place where young people come to learn and explore through following their own creativity and curiosity, and through collaboration in a close-knit community. It’s a place where they make good friends and get support from compassionate facilitators. And for so many NC families, it has been a miracle – a space where our young people thrive, when previously they wilted under competitive, punitive and stressful school settings.

Places like NC usually only exist in affluent suburbs. But part of NC’s commitment is to make this kind of environment accessible to all families who need it, regardless of their socio-economic situation, and to build a community of support among our families and neighbors. We’re located here in Germantown, Philadelphia, and the great majority of our families benefit from sliding scale fees.

The post-COVID funding landscape has changed, and so we’ve developed a new financial model and are working toward becoming a more self-sustaining and expanded community hub. Everyone in our community is pitching in to help because we believe in this place! We need to raise funds to bridge the path there, so that we don’t have to compromise NC’s valuable services to any young people who need it. Every contribution counts!
