Who would have thought that having cancer on top of running + owning a full service restaurant/coffee shop would ever be difficult? Mentally, physically, financially- the waves are crashing around us, & we are attempting to split the sea (- failing)
If you know us even in the least bit, asking for help is something that quite literally physically pains us. That being said, we are having to close the shop for half of January to travel to Texas for Korah to have surgery, have a stay in the hospital, then turning around- flying back & immediately opening the coffee shop back up the following week. It’s going to be so rough- & it’s already expensive.
The impending doom of medical bills, hospital stays, the cost of keeping our coffee shop fully functioning/stocked, plane tickets, rent- the list goes on. It’s enough to make the waves take us completely under.
This will be Korah’s second Thyroid Cancer surgery. We hope this will be the last one for a very long time.
