Help keep our police dogs safe.

My name is Nick Barton. I was doing a science fair project to find out if the Kevlar vest that the k-9 dogs wore slowed them down. I was lucky enough to work with several of the officers from Concord Police department and several of their partners (dogs). I got to meet them and play with them as well as even go to watch them attack another police officer with pads on.
Apparently the handler of the dog is responsible for buying the vest because there are not funds available for it through the department.
The sad part was I got to hear stories about dogs on the force that have gotten injured because they do not have vest. Dogs that have gotten stabbed, shot, one got stabbed with garden shears and the guy was trying to cut her in half.
So I decided to try to help raise money and awareness for these great animals that put their life on the line to protect us every day. I thought if everybody I knew could just give $5-$10 dollars. One happy meal or one Starbucks could help save a life.
Please help,
Nick
