On October 3, 2026, our miniature horses suffered a terrifying and violent dog attack that could have ended in tragedy. My beloved Mister Buddy was brutally mauled by two dogs as he bravely tried to protect his paddock mates, Zeus and Honeybun. Thanks to the quick intervention of his caretakers, Mike and Jean, and the dedicated efforts of two amazing veterinary teams, Buddy survived. His survival is a testament to their quick action, compassion, and unwavering commitment to saving him.

I would like to raise funds to help the wonderful people who care for my mini horse build a secure shed for all three minis, where they can be safely locked in at night, and improve the fencing around their paddock.

This has been an incredibly traumatic experience, not just for the horses, but for the people who care for them. The fear of something happening again has made it difficult for them to sleep peacefully at night. They deserve to feel safe knowing that the minis they love and care for are protected as well as possible.

Right now, the thought of these little horses being vulnerable to another attack is terrifying. Better fencing and a secure place to shelter at night would provide an added layer of protection and, hopefully, help prevent another devastating incident.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help us create a safer environment for these precious animals and give us greater peace of mind knowing we are taking steps to protect them.

We cannot change what happened that night, but together, we can take steps to help make sure it never happens again.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for caring about my little guy, for cheering him on as he heals, and for helping us give all three minis a safer place to call home.

Please consider donating and sharing our fundraiser to help keep Mister Buddy, Zeus, and Honeybun safe.
