At the flying club, we call upon the airport line service folks daily to help our operation run smoothly. Without them coming down to the ramp and tolerating our 2-3 gallon additions, we would be spending significantly more time and money. We would have to taxi over to the fuel pumps and fill the tank ourselves. The excellent service we receive from the line personnel is vital to our flying dollars and time being used more efficiently.

I know firsthand the difficulty a line guy goes through. They are generally understaffed, cold in the winter, hot in the summer, and wet when it rains. Despite all this, the line staff always arrive with a smile. During this holiday season, let us reflect on the positive impact the staff has had on our operation and thank them for their hard work.

Last year, we did an amazing job with our fundraiser and surpassed our goal. Let's see if we can do that again!

Also, I would like it to be a surprise, so let's keep this to ourselves.
