Hi everyone,
It’s difficult to write this letter and talk about what’s been going on. And even harder for me to reach out for help. But due to massive medical issues in our family, my father and I are on the verge of losing our home.
At the beginning of October 2023 both my father Saul Kessock and I got very sick and were taken to the hospital with bad infections. Where I recovered after 6 days he did not and ended up in a rehab facility. After a few days at the facility, my father suffered a massive stroke. He was raced to the hospital where we discovered the whole right side of his brain has been damaged. After being conscious only briefly, he had to have neurosurgery and hadn’t woken up. He has been non-responsive and struggling ever since.
I myself am writing this from a hospital bed as the infection that had me in the hospital relapsed and has me under a doctors care. And because of all that, with medical bills, emergency bills due to illness, things not covered by insurance, loss of work for me (no freelance/projects due to being ill) and unexpected expenses, the Kessock family is on the verge of being unable to pay bills and could lose our home.
And this is where we need your help.
When calculated, the bills to keep our apartment paid as well as the bills and for gas to travel and see Dad at his acute care facility and emergency bills comes to $2800. I would not reach out unless it was dire but this entire situation came completely out of left field and we need emergency help. Truly, every little bit helps.
Thank you so much for your consideration and I’ll send updates regarding what’s happening as it happens. And for those who feel like sharing, I’d especially appreciate it. Thank you once again.
