We are a family of 9 that is going through something very hard, at the moment our dad is currently detained in an immigration center, and our mom is doing everything she can to help him secure a lawyer. She is managing to support our family. However, the lawyers have stated she needs 16,000 for the case, with an initial payment of $7000. Our mom is not one to beg but I know it is becoming very difficult for her and my whole family who are struggling through this dark situation. So me and my siblings made this GoFundMe (to help her with the down payment and have the lawyers working to represent him). My siblings and I have lived our whole lives in the U.S. and without a lawyer, my dad would be forced to return to Mexico, our family would be torn apart. My younger siblings are very scared at the thought of having to move to a different country and leave everything they know behind.
