Help Keep Our Family Together: Support for Legal Fees
Donation protected
On April 13, 2025, my husband was arrested for going the wrong way down a small street. A small and harmless mistake like this one shouldn’t mean our world gets turned upside down, but that’s exactly what happened.
For years, he’s been in the process of achieving legal residence in the United States, has worked with a lawyer to get this done, and has been an upstanding member of the community since he’s been here with no criminal record. When my husband accidentally went down the wrong way, ICE was waiting for him at the end of the street in an unmarked vehicle. We don’t know for how long he had been followed or targeted, but since then, he’s been detained.
We have been waiting for anything to happen with his case so we can fight for him to stay with me and our 3 daughters (ages 7, 5, 3), all American citizens, but no one will tell us anything. With our story being told, I hope this brings some awareness to how this can happen to anyone. In a country created off the backs of immigrants, this is how we get treated.
Anything that you can provide will be of tremendous help for lawyer fees or basic everyday necessities for my girls now that we are down to one income. Thank you for reading and sharing, may God bless you and your family.
