Our family is facing one of the most heartbreaking moments of our lives. The morning of Wednesday the 12th, while my husband was getting ready to start working there was a multi agency raid that was occurring in a building next to his job and my husband happened to be at his job at the wrong time and happened to be detain and ask if he knew the people in the building next door which this was a new job location not just for himself but for his boss as well something we never imagined could be possible became reality he was being tested to admit he knew the workers which he remained positive not nervous and said he did not know them or did not work for them and they didn’t allow my husband the chance to reach out to his boss to confirm his word was legitimate as well as or call me when he did not want to share his name or where he was from then from there the sheriff then handed him over to the DEA and they are the ones who handed him over to ICE. A lot of unlawful things occurred from this detainment and I would love for us to come togheter to keep my husband here were he belongs with his family. We are now in a race against time to raise the funds needed for legal representation to stop his deportation and keep our family together.

My husband came to the U.S. in 2004. Since then he has created a life here. He is a husband, as well as a loving father to his two biological children Luis Angel and Karim, and to 5 other step children. Karim is our child who relies heavily on his fathers presence as he is diagnosed with autism and requires a speech device to speak. But it’s also very important to mention he has raised his step children since young children the oldest only being 8 at the time and the youngest step child being 1 and he is now 7. So this has not only been hard on myself but as well as my children.

He is our rock, our foundation. The one we go to for advice, for laughter, for comfort. He has spent decades working hard and building something meaningful for his family. He greets everyone with warmth and humor, and his love touches everyone he meets.

We are deeply afraid, not only of losing him, but for the conditions he may face in ICE custody. We’ve seen members of our community suffer, sleeping on concrete floors wrapped in aluminum blankets and in the worst cases, losing their lives. We cannot let that happen to my husband or the father of my kids.

We are pleading for any kind of help; no amount is too small. Legal defense in immigration court is costly, but it’s our only hope to bring my husband back home where he belongs. Every dollar raised will go directly to his legal fees and help us fight for his right to stay in the country he has called home for over 20 years.

Please help us keep our family whole. Share, donate, pray, whatever you can do means the world to us. Thank you and God Bless everyone of you.
