My dad is a hardworking salesman and delivery driver for Produce in Mesquite, Dallas, Texas. He’s always been the spark in our family, lifting our spirits even on the hardest days. On Monday, 2/2/26, he was out on his regular delivery route when he called my mom late at night to say he’d been detained by the police. It was 11pm, and after an hour of worry and unanswered calls, he finally reached my mom at 12:30am to say he was waiting for more details from the judge.
After seeing the judge, my dad learned that when he leaves jail in a month, he will be turned over to ICE. This news has devastated our family. My mom immediately called an immigration lawyer, who said she would need payment to act right now and more support when ICE gets involved. We are asking for help to cover these urgent legal fees and fight to keep our family together.
Anything would help. ICE is evil and without my dad, our family will fall apart. He is the spark we all need, especially when our days are tough. Please, anything would help—we don't want to lose him.
