Help Keep My Small Biz Open – One Coffee at a Time
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name’s Ayesha, and I’m the new owner of Rito’s Cafe & Continental on Beach Road, Christies Beach.
I never thought I’d be writing this.
I never wanted to ask for help.
For the past few months, I’ve been fighting quietly behind the scenes through lawyers, through negotiations, trying to keep Rito’s alive without needing to involve anyone else.
I believed if I just worked harder, I could save it myself.
But it’s reached a point where I can’t do it alone anymore.
I’ve been given 7 days to come up with the outstanding amount (including landlord legal fees) or Rito’s will close its doors.
It got to the point where my legal costs would have outweighed the actual debt itself.
Beach Road businesses are struggling — and I didn’t want Rito’s to be another empty shopfront.
We’re part of the community, and we want to stay part of the community.
I’m not asking for handouts.
I’m asking for a chance to fight.
A chance to keep something real and good alive.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward:
- Covering urgent legal costs and landlord fees
- Keeping the cafe open while we push through this critical time
- Giving Rito’s a real fighting chance for a strong 2025 and beyond
If you can spare the cost of a coffee, a sandwich, a share, it truly makes a difference.
Even $5 brings us closer to saving Rito’s.
Thank you for giving us hope.
Thank you for believing in small business.
Thank you for helping save a piece of Christies Beach.
We are fighting.
We are not done yet.
❤️ Ayesha
