I never imagined writing something like this, but our family is in an urgent situation.
My stepdad, Scott, is battling stage 4 liver cancer. The toll on his body has made it impossible for him to continue working. Overnight, their primary income was gone.
Right now, my parents are behind on rent and at risk of losing their home while Scott is in the middle of seeking out cancer treatments.
No one fighting for their life should also be fighting the fear of eviction.
My stepdad has always been a provider, and asking for help is extremely humbling and not easy for our family. But this season has brought us to a place of surrender and a deeper dependence on what we believe the Lord will do through community.
We are praying boldly for healing while trusting that support will come through the kindness of others.
Funds raised will go directly toward catching up on past-due rent, covering upcoming rent, stabilizing housing during treatment, and helping with basic living expenses and utilities.
If you feel led to give, we are beyond grateful. If you cannot give, please consider sharing this page and praying for our family. Time is critical, and every gift makes a difference.
With gratitude and faith,
Stephanie and fam.
