Help keep Heavy Weight Music open until April.

G'day all. If you are reading this, it's because i am about to ask you forca bit of help. Obviously, the world is in dire straits and with so much other heinous stuff going on, i realise it may be a bit of a stretch to ask for your help. Those who know me, know how hard it is to ask for help, but the reality is, running an indie record store by myself in the current climate has proved challenging. I started the store online 5 years ago and through pandemics, wars and inflation, i have managed to keep my head just above water, while opening a physical shop. The reality is i am doing odd jobs here and there and looking for a second job just to survive. The pessimist in me thinks i should close the store and get a fulltime job as i have a family to help provide for, but the Australian in me hates giving up. WITH THAT BEING SAID many of you have shown your support and many of you have told me that its more than a record store. And i really, maybe naively, do believe that. I have made many invaluable friendships by opening the shop and that is something no money can replace. My goal is to stay open until April next year, and re-assess my options then. So i am asking for your help to make that happen. Perhaps you don't collect records but want to help, maybe you like me or the store enough for you to donate, share this fundraiser or just simply tell folks about the shop. Everything helps. The money will be used to help pay the rent, pay for stock and general running of the store. I am fully aware that this is not your problem, but if you want to help me out in any small way, that would be massive for me. The alternative is not something i am ready to think about yet.
