Hello. My name is Mike. I have been a truck driver for 26 years. Almost 2 years ago, a dream of mine finally came true. I was able to buy a semi truck and start my own business. I know that none of you reading this begged me to buy a truck, but it is what people with a dream do. And we all have our favorite little business that we love to support.

Unfortunately, with my type of business, I don't have anything to offer you directly. It is not a bakery, coffee shop, restaurant, or boutique, but everything that I have hauled over the years has benefited you in some way. I have traveled this country from coast to coast and supported small businesses by being a customer.

The reason I am asking for your help is because my truck - the heart of my business - is not new and fancy; it is older and in need of repairs. We all know with age things don't work like they used to. I'll be honest, I am having issues with the truck in the major areas: the engine, transmission, drive axles, and tires. These are the most expensive in a truck, just like in your car. It is hard for me to say what it will cost because with some of this, we won't know the extent until it is taken apart and properly diagnosed.

I wouldn't be asking for help, but there comes a time when you feel that you are backed into a corner. I have drained my savings between all the nickel-and-diming repairs and some medical issues that came about with myself and my wife that prevented me from working. I have been to several banks to get loans, but they have all denied me either because my credit isn't where they want it (can't pay bills when there is no income) or because I haven't been in business long enough.

Now I am asking for your support. I am asking YOU, the one reading this, for 2 things:

I can't give you an exact dollar amount of what I need, but I can make a promise to all of you that support me. If by some miracle the support from you guys is overwhelming and successful, I promise to only spend what I need to get my truck back up in good working order. The rest, I will donate to other GoFundMes or other charities that need help. I will also post pics of what you are helping me to accomplish.
