For the last 5 years Shawn Gayton (owner of Mid City MMA) has been supportive and generous to lend his gym to the wrestling community for an open mat on Sundays. Since our open mats have grown, the wear and tear wrestling imposes on the gym surfaces are starting to show and the floor is in need of repair. Instead of charging the kids drop-in fees, the coaches have decided to lean on our wrestling community to keep this great resource going. Sundays are open to any wrestler from any school, show your support and let’s keep growing this sport in Louisiana. The $5200 raised will cover one year of the open mats.
