Independent Aussie Music Act in Urgently in Need of Support

Hello friends, fans, and kind-hearted supporters,

We are Loonaloop, an independent Australian music act currently touring the EU/UK. Over the past 20 years, we’ve poured our hearts and souls into creating and sharing music — touring the world, releasing six albums, and building a loyal global community.

Right now, we’re facing an unexpected crisis that threatens to bring our tour to a halt.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to replace our drummer mid-tour, and in doing so, also had to buy out the tour van and music gear — equipment essential to running our show. The van alone cost £4,500, and now we’re faced with a difficult decision: either find the funds to pay the aforementioned as well as a substitute drummer -and continue, or cancel the rest of the tour— something we desperately want to avoid.

We’ve already had to cancel 9 shows, each one carefully secured and deeply valued. These aren’t just gigs — they’re our lifeblood, connecting us with audiences and sustaining the music.

This has meant 3 weeks in a foreign country with no income. and now we need to cross on Car ferry in the van, pay for our drummer to get from Scotland to meet us, hire rehearsal rooms amongst plenty of other expenses.

As an independent band, we’ve self-funded everything: recordings, airfares, gear, transport, and more. We’ve never asked for help like this before — but this situation is different, and we’re reaching out to our extended music family for support.
