My name is Sara, and I’m the mother of 11-year-old Keira Elle — a miracle child who has been fighting for her life since she was just 6½ years old.

Keira Elle has one of the rarest heart conditions on earth: Brugada Syndrome — a deadly heart arrhythmia that typically affects adult men, not little girls. She is 1 of only 2 pediatric girls on the planet diagnosed with this condition.

Since her diagnosis, Keira Elle has endured unimaginable medical trauma:

Keira Elle is homeschooled through VSB Inbound Hospital Schooling, and her school community at David Livingstone supports her whenever she is strong enough to visit. But each year, her condition becomes more difficult to manage.

Her medical team has urgently requested several critical, life-saving supports, but we have been told they are not funded by the ministry. We are now forced to seek help on our own — because Keira Elle’s life depends on it.

Despite everything, Keira Elle still dreams. She wants to become a special effects makeup artist, like her mom. And her biggest dream is to visit Japan one day to experience Sanrio in person.
