Help keep Josh out of a wheelchair

Hi! We are Melissa and Josh Renfroe. A couple of years ago Josh’s health began declining and recently we noticed a rapid decline. He has lost most of his eye sight and also began losing use of his arms and legs. After several doctors appointments and many tests, he was diagnosed with CIDP, an autoimmune disease where is body attacks the protective layer of his nerves and causes significant nerve damage. If left untreated, Josh will very soon be wheelchair bound. With treatment Josh’s health would stop declining and doctors are optimistic he could see a 20-40 percent improvement. He is currently on unpaid medical leave because he is unable to work and the treatments are very expensive, even with insurance.

Out of Picket Cost:

1st treatment $3000

Each additional treatment 20% of cost and cost of medicine alone is $10,000 per treatment...So a minimum of $2000 per treatment.

Treatment is needed every 3 weeks for six months so 9-10 total treatments.

The total MINIMUM out of pocket cost: $18,000

Any help would be greatly appreciated as we are already down to only 1 income and the cost of the treatment is beyond our reach. Thank you!
