For over 20 years, our chef Israel, who we know as Izzy, has been more than just a part of McNeal’s, he’s been family. He has worked side by side with Tom since the early days, helping build not just a restaurant, but a place filled with warmth, consistency, and care for our community.

Today, he and his family are facing an incredibly difficult and uncertain situation. After a traffic stop, Izzy is facing the risk of deportation despite having a work visa and documentation.

As a devoted husband and father of three, everything he does is for his family. One of his children has autism and depends on the stability, love, and support he provides every single day.

He has always shown up for others, quietly, humbly, and without hesitation. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
