Update (4/2/2026): We have moved from our old donation platform to GoFundMe for increased transparency regarding the funds raised. We had raised $2,060 on the old platform.
Iran Monitor was built to help people around the world follow the fast-moving crisis in Iran without getting overwhelmed by the noise, rumors, and manipulation that dominate social media.
Instead of amplifying the loudest voices, Iran Monitor focuses on objective, data-driven signals: aggregated news coverage, public social activity, an events timeline (protests, sanctions, diplomacy, conflict), and independent internet measurement sources that can show when information is being restricted or distorted. Our goal is to provide a clear, comprehensive picture of what’s happening, while helping readers spot misinformation and disinformation as narratives shift.
This project is intentionally free and open: no paywall, no partisan framing, no sensationalism, but rather structured insights that anyone can use.
To keep Iran Monitor online and up to date, we need help covering the basic operating costs (hosting, data infrastructure, and API usage). Running the service costs about $400 per month. Your contribution goes directly toward keeping this public resource available and reliable.
If you find value in an independent, data-first view of events in Iran, please consider donating—or sharing this fundraiser with others who might.
Thank you for helping keep Iran Monitor running.
