Help Keep Independent Horror Alive!

Help Ethereal Horror Fest reach our first fundraising milestone of $3,500 by November 15!

Ethereal Horror Fest 2026 was an incredible three-day celebration of independent horror, bringing together filmmakers, audiences, and industry professionals in Austin, Texas. From film screenings and filmmaker Q&As to industry panels, live pitches, and awards, we created a space for independent voices to be seen, heard, and celebrated.

But behind the success of this year's festival, we're facing a financial challenge.

Despite an amazing event, we finished with a $8,000 shortfall. Rising venue costs, projection expenses, production needs, and the realities of running an independent film festival have left us with outstanding expenses to cover.

Ethereal Horror Fest recently became an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, marking an exciting new chapter in our mission to champion independent filmmakers, provide educational opportunities, and build a thriving creative community.

But before we can move forward with our 2027 festival, we need to finish paying for 2026.

Our First Goal: $3,500 by November 15

Thanks to our first five generous donors, we've already raised $1,527!

Our immediate goal is to reach $3,500 by November 15, helping us make a meaningful dent in our outstanding expenses. Our larger goal is to eliminate the shortfall and put the festival on stronger financial footing for the future.

Why Your Support Matters

Independent film festivals are about more than screenings. They give emerging filmmakers opportunities to connect with audiences, meet industry professionals, build relationships, and share stories that might otherwise go unseen.

Ethereal Horror Fest has worked hard to create those opportunities, particularly for bold, unconventional, and underrepresented voices in horror.

We believe this festival has a future worth fighting for.

Whether you can contribute $10, $50, $100, or simply share our fundraiser, you're helping us honor our commitments and continue building something meaningful for independent film.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, eligible donations are tax-deductible.

Thank you for believing in Ethereal Horror Fest, our filmmakers, and the future of independent horror.
