Help keep In The Woods BBQ OPEN!

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Carol. I'm seeking help reopening my husband, Nathon's BBQ restaurant. We want to stay open for the community, but we have had multiple costly break-ins recently, making it almost impossible to stay afloat. We have had to make numerous repairs and replace food and equipment that keeps getting stolen. I'm trying to raise funds to help purchase and restore a food truck for him. The building we rent has no security, and we fear that we will continue to get broken into at night while we are away. We started to attempt to install cameras and obtain internet, but the profits are not quite where we can achieve that. This business is only 6 months old and is still in the growing stage. Owners do not want to install bars or help secure the place at all. With a mobile food truck, we can still provide for our customers but secure the place much better. He wants to open back up but needs help. He is humble, hardworking and is not a person that asks for help. I want to ask for him because I know he deserves it.

My husband originally wanted to start this business to keep in the family and pass it down to the kids but he has also grown to love the community as well. During this time it has been open. We get a lot of love from the community and people searching on Google as well. They see the reviews and come check us out. It lights up his face to see reviews come in because he loves providing great food to Waco. This has been a dream of his for so many years. He is a genuine, loving person that is always the first to try to help others, even when others have not always reciprocated. I would love to put some joy in his and the kid's hearts.

He always tries to keep a smile and stay positive through it all. This last break-in really brought him down. He loved being able to serve customers and put smiles on people's faces, but he has been shut down for a couple of weeks now. We have had several calls from customers and passersby wondering why the building is boarded up, and we have to let people down over and over. Through all the bumps in the road, he still attempts to keep a smile on his and everybody else faces.

I would love to be able to see the happiness on his face again the restaurant brought him. He truly loves cooking and socializing with the community, family, and friends. I'm hoping to gather enough to get a food truck so it can be more secure. If not, I would love to be able to help him get a nice secure sign and more equipment and food for another location that is more secure. Whatever you can help with is so greatly appreciated. If nothing, please share this with your friends. Thank you & Truly Have a Blessed day.
