Help Keep Human Agency at the Center of AI

My name is Rob Gonzales. I am an accounting professor, CPA, and founder of The Human Question LLC, an independent human-agency and educational initiative.

Artificial intelligence is changing how people learn, work, communicate, and make decisions. Our question is simple: How can we gain the benefits of AI without surrendering human judgment, dignity, and control?

The Human Question creates practical educational materials (including books, guides, lessons, and documented workflow examples) to help people remain the authors, reviewers, and accountable decision-makers in AI-assisted work. I am asking for your help to expand this work and make selected materials publicly available.

A movement about human agency cannot make money the price of having a voice. Donations are not formal votes, and larger contributions do not create greater authority. Every donor represents one signal that this work matters. Giving more helps extend the work to people who may benefit but cannot contribute. If you cannot donate, sharing the campaign, asking a question, or using the free materials is also meaningful participation.

Funds will support research and source verification, editing, design, accessibility, website and distribution expenses, and the creation of free public educational materials. We will publish updates explaining what was created and how the funds were used.

The Human Question LLC is a business, not a nonprofit. Contributions are not represented as tax-deductible and do not purchase equity, governance rights, goods, or services.
