Funeral & burial for Hudson

I wish I weren’t writing this, but please read Hudson’s story.
My nephew Miguel and his girlfriend Danie welcomed their third baby into this world on October 2, 2025, Hudson Bruce Taylor. He was full term & tiny. Unfortunately the joy they should have been feeling was quickly replaced with fear and questions. Hudson couldn’t regulate his body temperature and had issues breathing on his own and sucking. They transferred him to the NICU at Ruby. They did a brain scan, which thankfully, came back normal. They did the genetic testing next. And now we have an answer. Baby Hudson has Myotubular Myopathy, a rare genetic disorder that affects the muscles. After speaking with the team of doctors, things don’t seem too bright. The prognosis is extremely variable, but about half of the males with MTM die in infancy or early childhood due to respiratory failure. Miguel and Danie both work full time and their other two children are in early headstart. For the past two weeks they have been traveling back and forth to Morgantown. It gets pricy, at least $100 a trip. They can’t miss much work, they’ve already fallen behind on rent. As if there isn’t enough on their plates. Hudson is spending his days with nurses because his parents simply can’t afford to stay with him, and that’s just so unfair. To him and to them. His brother and sister haven’t even got to meet him yet. These two have 3 under 3. Alice is 2, Jaxon is 1, & Hudson 2 weeks. Right now they’re struggling. Actually they’re past struggling, they’re defeated. The car needs an oil change, the truck is leaking oil, rent is $1200 with a court ordered deadline of October 26th or they’ll be evicted. Their savings are gone. And while juggling the struggles at home, they’re trying to find a way to be with Hudson. In the coming weeks, he will have a permanent tracheostomy put in, as well as a permanent feeding tube. If he gets to come home it won’t be for a while. Once he does get to come home, he’s going to require a lot of medical care. If you can find it in your heart to donate anything, please do. Hudson deserves to have more time with his parents, his parents shouldn’t have to face losing their baby and their home all at once. Your donations will go directly to Miguel and Danie. They will be used toward the rent, gas to get to Hudson, food to eat while in Morgantown, in the future they’ll go towards medical expenses when he’s home, and the sad reality is, at some point they will go towards funeral expenses. Life is so unfair sometimes, but if we can find a way to make it even a little easier for others we should. Kindness goes a long way. Monetary donations are a huge help. If you’d like to donate a meal for their family, that would be one less thing they have to worry about for that one day. They don’t want to ask, they don’t want to even be in this position.. so I’m asking. Please help them, anyway you can. Even just sharing Hudson’s story can help them. If you can donate, thank you so much. & if you’re not able to, it’s okay! But please share this with others. If you pray, do that too.
