Help Keep Hope Alive at Home of Hope for Girls
Hi, my name is Patrika Mani, and I volunteer as a fundraiser for Home of Hope for Girls, a safe haven in Johannesburg, South Africa, that protects and uplifts young survivors of trafficking and abuse.
Last year we launched this fundraiser to help cover an overwhelming water bill that threatened their very operations. Thanks to generous donors, we got the water flowing again — but the need hasn’t stopped.
Despite its extraordinary impact, Home of Hope receives no government support. Every meal, every school fee, every bus ride to class — all of it is made possible by private donors like you.
Founded by Global Citizen award winner Mam Khanyi, Home of Hope shelters and raises up to 80 girls at a time. She not only feeds and educates them, but also takes on pimps and traffickers in court — and she wins. Often at personal risk to her own life.
With strength, courage, and boundless compassion, Mam Khanyi changes lives every day — but she can’t do it alone.
Every euro you give goes directly to keeping this vital work alive:
Covering food, fuel, school fees, and medicine
Keeping the lights on and the water running
Empowering brave girls to grow into leaders
Bringing justice to those who exploit vulnerable children
Please stand with us. Let’s keep Home of Hope strong. Let’s keep Mam Khanyi fighting — and winning — for these girls.
