I am excited to be partnering with Thembi Kgatlana Foundation to raise funds to help girls  in impoverished areas of  South Africa.

Period poverty is real!! A lot of women have to choose between providing food for their children or buying sanitary pads every month.

Personally, this initiative is very close to my heart.

I know we didn’t have much growing up. Surrounded by two strong women (mother & sister) I didn’t know what they had to go through during that time of the month until recently.

After recent conversations, I got to find out how socks and newspapers are being used on a daily basis in villages/communities that are poverty stricken. Most girls miss the opportunity to education during their menstruation cycle. Not only that, but the taboo surrounding menstruation by boys/men is unreal.
