Help Keep Family Eatery's Doors Open

Hello everyone,

First, I want to thank you all SO MUCH for taking the time to visit and even consider donating to this cause. I don’t take for granted how blessed I am to have each and every one of you reading this.

I’ll keep it brief.

In 2022, in the midst of the pandemic, I was able to realize a dream of opening a Caribbean restaurant, Family Eatery, that pays tribute to my cultural heritage from being born in Trinidad. Since I was a child, attached to my Grandmother’s apron strings, I learned how to cook from her and loved it ever since. My experience running a bar/restaurant from my days in Brooklyn, NY is the same passion and love I’ve carried here.

We’re a small family-owned restaurant and we’ve been proudly serving military members, veterans, and their families since opening on Quantico Marine Base. Business has been great, but a sudden slowdown over the past 6 months due to changes in certain policies has caused us to fall behind on rent. Business has picked back up but since we’ve fallen behind so far, we’re in danger of having to close our doors. The money we’re seeking is to help us catch up on outstanding bills, advertising to reach new customers, and to look into opening a location outside of the base so that the general population can experience the love put into the food we make.
