Our sweet little baby Crookie was just diagnosed with some sort of mystery kidney disease and is in need of some intensive care over 48 hours. We noticed that he stopped eating and drinking and took him to the vet. He seemed to be on the up and up after getting some anti-nausea medication and an appetite stimulant, but the vet informed us that at any moment he could go into kidney failure and needs emergency treatment. Intensive care is expensive and Molly and I have recently had unexpected costs with Snuffles' vet visit and other personal hardships.
A little about Crookshanks if you've never had the pleasure of spending time with him:
- He is 8 years old and we got him when he was big enough to fit in one hand.
- He's a really simple boy and usually has two beans clicking together.
- He's the most gentle boy and balances his gargoyle brother Moon (who also loves his brother very much).
- His favorite things to watch are cartoons and Christmas claymations.
- His favorite human food to steal is pizza (he has literally taken a whole slice of pizza off of a plate and run away with it).
- He's a perfect angel but isn't ready to go to kitty heaven just yet.
Molly and I are grateful for any help right now. We know this is a financially tight time for everyone.
