Last year, my husband and I faced one of the most challenging moments of our lives when we both lost our jobs in February 2025. With uncertainty looming, we decided to get creative and turn our home into a full-time Airbnb and event venue. While hosting guests and supporting local artists was always a dream of mine, I never imagined we would be relying on my entrepreneurial skills and hospitality experience to keep us afloat. Since then, my husband has found new work, and I have continued to pursue my creative side by running Craftshop. However, the start-up costs have been significant, and we've relied on credit cards to keep things going. The funds raised will help cover ongoing business expenses and rent, and I am seeking support to pay off these debts and ensure Craftshop can remain open. My vision is to transition our house from a full-time rental into a vibrant, creative hub for the community—a place for classes, dining experiences, house parties, book clubs, micro weddings, lectures, living room concerts, thrift swaps, and so much more.
