Our family is reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help supporting Candy, Jason's mom, as she battles Alzheimer's disease and terminal cancer. Many of you remember when Jason brought her to work every day because she wasn't safe to be home alone. Thank you to those who helped along the way—whether it was taking her for a golf cart ride so he could get some work done or simply sitting and chatting with her. Those moments meant more than you know, and they helped us get through some very difficult years.
In 2019, after Jason's dad passed away, we moved Candy into our home so we could care for her. She had just been diagnosed with early-onset dementia at 69. Jason, the kids, and I did everything we could to keep her safe, comfortable, and surrounded by family for as long as possible. By 2025, her condition had progressed to the point where it was no longer safe for her to remain at home. Making the decision to move her was incredibly difficult, but we knew she needed a higher level of care than we could provide. She is now living in a loving board and care home just minutes from us. We visit her regularly, and it brings us peace knowing she is safe and cared for with compassion.
However, the cost of her care is significant and ongoing, with monthly expenses in the thousands. Candy is now on hospice, and we would hate to have to move her during this critical time. Every dollar raised will go directly toward her Alzheimer’s and cancer care, including hospice support, so she can remain in a safe, loving home close to her family. If you're unable to give, sharing this page would mean the world to us. Thank you for your love, support, and kindness during this time. With gratitude, Jason and Family
